We're all still very sad about the loss of the Boofy Flooger, but where the pain is easing a little for us food monkeys, it seems poor Wong! is getting more & more lonely & confused about being an only kitty ... of course, Wong! will also panic when any new kitties appear ... we shall have to work through all this in due course ...

The Boofer is doing well back at home - another check up tomorrow evening, 48 hours after discharge. The Wong! is still terrified of the hospital smell :-(

The Boof!er just got an Xmas card ... from the emergency vet. nurse who covers us for insulin treatment. Teh kewte!

I celebrated the middle of the week this week with a lovely gentle half-hour yoga and relaxation class - this is a habit I could happily form :-)

Dinner is done and dusted, which suits my metabolism (by 8pm, I'm too tired to be hungry, and by 9pm, it's bed-time) ... just a little light Flooger-molestation (in the form of his blood tests and insulin injections) left on my To-Do list tonight. (Obviously, lots of things like 'stepping on the cats' permanently on my To-Don't list).

Hopefully, Mater's Citizen Advocate was able to visit and talk with her today - and hopefully, Graze will successfully deliver a selection of fresh and dried fruits to Mater's bed tomorrow (and she'll enjoy the benefits of eating them).

I'm also writing a few Christmas cards ...

Some constructive conversations today with people involved in Mater's care - her new junior doctor seems particularly insightful, which is a good step.

Also, Mater seemed genuinely gladdened to see me, and enjoyed the black grapes I took.

Can anyone tell me - is that company which delivers 'healthy snacks' to your desk still active, what are they called if so, and bonus question: anyone know if they would delivery to a hospital bed?

Now, V-E-T for the Boof!er who has a sore tummy.

Well, the stress of Mater's current situation is obviously getting to me. I had a very bad bout of what I think is called 'night terror' last night - I was trapped in a nightmare half-conscious state, dreaming that there was something like a scene from Mad Max going on in the street below (home-made drag racers and motorcycles roaring up and down), yet I couldn't move or speak down the phone to call the police ... nor could I or G wake me up.

Also, hopefully a sign of feeling better, for the first time I can ever remember (and at around 02:00 - before all the night terrors kicked off), the Boofer came and sat on my full bladder and purred for nearly an hour before I dozed off, and with the softest, gentlest, fluffiest paw in the imaginable Universe on my nose I was woken up again ... it turns out that the prescription diabetes-management wet food which was initially TOTAL POO in the Boofiverse is the new favourite delicacy, and was vital at 02:00 this morning ... G apparently failed to pick up on these signals last evening, which may explain all the Boof! and Floog! the rules about begging for food when Uncle and Aunty Feedle are snooing.

Wong! was mostly good as gold, apart from precipitating some kitten bother on my tummy between the two incidents described above.

I predict that I will do a nose-dive and be sent home from work around lunch-time ...
