I celebrated the middle of the week this week with a lovely gentle half-hour yoga and relaxation class - this is a habit I could happily form :-)

Dinner is done and dusted, which suits my metabolism (by 8pm, I'm too tired to be hungry, and by 9pm, it's bed-time) ... just a little light Flooger-molestation (in the form of his blood tests and insulin injections) left on my To-Do list tonight. (Obviously, lots of things like 'stepping on the cats' permanently on my To-Don't list).

Hopefully, Mater's Citizen Advocate was able to visit and talk with her today - and hopefully, Graze will successfully deliver a selection of fresh and dried fruits to Mater's bed tomorrow (and she'll enjoy the benefits of eating them).

I'm also writing a few Christmas cards ...

Seem to have slept OK last night: feel reasonably human with the 06:00 alarm. Sleep and 'clock stress' )

All is quiet on the kitty front: Boofy is sleeping on the orthopaedic cushion in the lounge, and Pointy is presumably asleep on the futon upstairs. Wish us luck: they seem to be ready for Pointy's room to stay open all day whilst I'm at school.

Plan for the day: meet two new science teacher trainees; plan A level electric fields lesson for Friday; support other teachers in science lessons; continue to sympathetically explore my own reactions to situations, and try to calm them.

Noise from night flying around airports disrupts the sleep of thousands of people. Research suggests that few people get enough sleep to be at their best, and that eight uninterrupted hours is the average sustainable minimum.

The Government are currently consulting on restrictions on night flights at Gatwick, Stansted and Heathrow. Friends of the Earth think that the Government should:
o Cut all noise levels to WHO guidelines by 2011.
o Extend the period when night flight restrictions apply to at least eight hours.
o Apply night flying regulations to all airports.
o Work towards a European ban on night flights.

and tell them what you think!
