I feel like I just woke up...

I was out late last night ... 22:15, that's very late for me. I rang D, and found out about John Peel (diabetes at altitude, wah!). I slept poorly, having nightmares about being in Peru with Peelie but unable to save him. I crawled back into bed with my breakfast and listened to three hours of the BBC Radio 4 dramatization of The Lord of the Rings (Theoden is riding to Minas Tirith; Frodo, Sam and Smeagol have reached the crossroads on the way to Minas Morgul).

My further tests came back normal, my doctor is on annual leave, my recuperation is slow and uneven. At least my appetite is back and my aches have subsided, even if my energy and stamina are still missing.

I'm going to go back to bed for more epic adventures soon...

Be well. Is the adaptation the 13-disc set? If so, we loved it, though the music was a bit OTT at times (the Ents march just made me laugh, I'm afraid); I much preferred the kind of music in the films.

Oh, yes. The Ent march is a little silly - but I've been listening to this frequently since it was first broadcast, so it's all part of the overall effect by now :-) Wish I knew when the Ultimate Boxed Set DVDs were going to be released (all three extended wide-screen with extras :-)
