Many thanks for all the kind and encouraging words, as ever.
Self definitely stronger today, ENT symptoms milder too. Got some work done on my portfolio, too - and a little de-cluttering, yay!
The Ward Sister is really pleased with Mater's progress since she was admitted to rehab on Sat 12 Dec 2009. Shame she spent 4 weeks rotting on the general ward, but that's all behind us. The Activities Assistant is back this week, so that should increase the Occupational Therapy options. The consultant does their ward rounds tomorrow morning, so there'll be a proper 'case conference' with all the hospital staff involved. Another patient called 'Reeny (broken collarbone) has 'adopted' Mater and is doing a great job of encouraging her to do her physiotherapy and try to keep calm!
Flooger is back home but a whole bank of blood tests sent off, which may reveal a need to hospitalize on Wednesday. Meanwhile, little bits of good news from the Flooger's purr-spective:- the antibiotic pills are stopped for now, but the delicious probiotic googe (that costs 15 quid for 10g) is still on the menu, and he's allowed to have all his favourite foods just as long as he eats something, and a painless injection of painkillers to help him feel more comfortable overnight ... and he's not in hospital for now!
Right, time to feed the food apes and unwind for bed!
