Play the game!

Wong! and Pip! were a lot less snuggly with me last night - seems they were too busy trying to work out the rules of their new games.

It's like Wong! wants to play French cricket, and Pip! wants to play rugby. I'm sure they'll work it out - compromising on Aussie rules footie, or something :-)

They are both regularly initiating a friendly mutual nose-sniff.

They both love Wong!'s green tassley Wong!ing rod, but so far have avoided colliding whilst both chasing it!

I am a bit caught up on my sleep, but not completely ...

Ish and Horus went through a stage like this, when Horus was small and new. It sorted out into chase-and-pounce-and-wrestle, punctuated by Ish sitting on Horus and washing him. They still do it occasionally.

Ah, yes - washing. Wong! has already completely rolled over all boundaries of etiquette in washing Pip! ... let's leave it at that :-)

Pip! seems to have settled in amazingly quickly. Or rather it's Wong! who has taken to the newcomer very easily. It was weeks before Catlet stopped hissing at Fluffy when we adopted her and months before an entente cordial was established. Though of course Catlet had been an only cat until then.

Astoundingly quickly. Pip! must have been brought up in a very loving home before ending in the rescue centre.

Also, I'm sure Uncle Boof's calm, accepting spirit lives on in this somehow.
