State of Mater - plea for help

Mater is in a terrible state at the moment.

She is too terrified to walk - her body shakes and her legs go weak - she has fallen nearly every day this week. Luckily, her body is strong and she the only physical damage anyone can find is the broken wrist and extensive bruising. But this also means she is too scared to _try_ to walk, with all the consequences of that.

Tomorrow, I need to find a place now where she can be safe until her mind and body are a little rested and recovered.

But after that, we need to seek a place where, instead of 'putting her out to grass' in a state of ongoing fear and weakness - and she could live for 25+ years in that state, as her body is strong, unless she has a heart attack - instead, we need a place which can attempt to rebuild at least a part of her mind and spirit, so that she can have some chance of some quality of life and use of her body.

Please: if you know of any kind of place of rehabilitation anywhere, which might be able to take on Mater's case - or if you know someone who might know - do comment on this post.

I don't have any advice, but I'm very sorry to hear about her troubles! I hope you're able to find a solution.

Sorry to hear of your mother's worsening condition - I'll keep my fingers crossed that you find somewhere that will help her soon

Contact the various mental health charities, and your local psychiatric outpatients' unit. They should have lists of facilities and sources of help. If your mother has a CPN, they should have resources, too. I hope you find something soon.
