Pilgrimage

I will be making the journey to Sick Kitty's birthplace next week, visiting Mater in nearby DrabTown, and spending time in UniversityTown itself. I seem to recall that green_amber is planning to be there on Thu 22 Jan?

Thank you all so much for your support. I need to sleep well tonight, after all the stress, and you are helping with that. G is treating us to telephone food, and then we will share a hot bath, and seek snooziness. The raw awfulness of this morning is already starting to have some of the sharp edges smoothed down...

I've never heard the expression "telephone food." It's so apt, but so funny if you think of it in a Gahan Wilson kind of way: what, or whom does the telephone eat? Bwah hah hah.

Didn't sleep too badly, until Surviving Kitty starting the Dance of Breakfast on our heads at 04:00 - purring, patting and just a hint of slightly mal-retracted claws... but in a loving way! Silly kitty, there was food downstairs waiting already...

The telephone food was nice - a new Indian delivery place, which was a bit slow (but that's understandable on Friday night), and nicely spicy. A useful discovery, anyhow - and they deliver desserts, such as mango kulfi and gulab jamun!

The last bus back from Cambridge to St Neots seems to be 23:05 (Mater and I are car-free :-) So we could do early evening - neither of us are much good past 21:00 anyhow :-)

I was away for the nadir of the SK developments... my belated condolences, and my thoughts are with you all. I hope your pilgrimage provides healing and as much closure as you would want at this stage... I know that horrid feeling of not wanting things to move on, as painful as they can be, because that would require really saying goodbye. Strength to you.

Will be thinking more kind thoughts for you in the coming days.
