She's as settled as possible given the poor conditions on the ward, and actively enjoying the grapes which I took her. I got a grin out of her telling some of her rude jokes to one of her nurses :-)
I also got a reasonably constructive conversation with the hospital consultant, who seems to be doing a moderately thorough physical work-up on her - results due tomorrow. As soon as a suitable bed (in a female ward, YAY!) comes available, she should be transferred to a more appropriate hospital - much nearer to me, too.
However, I've unearthed a catalogue of serious communications failures as long as your arm which led up to this crisis, and everyone involved with her care is saying to ME, "Please keep us properly informed, no one else does." WTF, guys, WTF. I reckon, having pieced it all together, she should never have been discharged when she presented at A&E with the broken wrist a week ago. Still, all water under bridges ...
I am off to snoo now, hopefully to be in a fit state for work in the morning as per (purr!) and then I hope I know which hospital to go to for visiting hours in the evening ...
I hope all is well with you and yours, gentle readers.
