G is safely away for factory testing. D should be coming back on-line from the observatory soon, having set out on Saturday.
The weather forecast has been upgraded from cool and very wet to cool and showery - unfortunately, we need the rain :-( It should be warm and showery later in the week... and my water-butts are primed to catch whatever rain we do get.
Is it a bad to want to shout at my PGCE course materials? Major problems include: verbose political correctness from Government; unfocused idealised urgings from academics; ambiguous wordings from both; and the gulf between long lists of theoretical requirements, and the reality of school life.
At least I'm sleeping a little better... Even when I was trying not to 'strive to be a perfect (student) teacher', the contradictions were too stressful :-(

Date: 2005-05-16 12:17 pm (UTC)My sympathies. I finished on Friday a read through of the School Development Plan and, when not doing the grammatical nit-picking bit, got caught between the guff about nice aims and the actual actions. And I don't have to implement the stuff (or not very much, tho' I think there were some actions for governors).
