We've been having our computer room re-built (remains of kitchen chimney removed, joists replaced in floor etc.) and it's now ready for redecoration.
Best news of all: I cycled to N's and back on Monday!
Less good: I paid for it yesterday and today. But rest, recuperation, and an over-dose of BBC daptations of Pride and Prejudice seem to have done the trick*.
Still no rain to test our patch...
Ahh! G's home! (I'm not getting bored of this yet :-)
* For the record, Garvie/Rintoul and Ehle/Firth... I think all the leading ladies are impressive, that Rintoul's Darcy doesn't quite unbend enough, and that Firth's unbends too far ... but I can definitely see the appeal of the pond-diving :-)
