Started with a shit-storm, ended very lovely.
Review meeting. Medical team threatening Mater with residential care because she's not making progress. When I'd controlled my tears of rage and despair, they had the grace to admit that they'd been failing to act on her care plan over the holiday period since the last review! They all then made useful contributions. I have names and dates for specific structured activities - mostly taking Mater to her flat so she can practice normality.
I then let Mater cook me lunch. All I did was carry the shopping, and do the washing up. She supervised the taxi to Waitrose, chose and bought the food, cooked and served the meal, reviewed how to use her new computer set-up, socialised briefly with her new neighbours, and supervised our taxi back to the hospital.
So the hospital will soon find out where they can stick their residental care home!!!!
GO MATER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Am tired. Need to convalesce all day to have a hope at aikido tonight.
