Pension adviced sought

My prospective employer is a small educational charity. It does not have a pension scheme, and this is not a show-stopper for me. But what I do need is advice on 'independent' pension plans - I don't even know what is the proper terminology? Any pension you set up separate from an employer-contribution scheme ...

Aikido New Year

Today was my first aikido training session after our Summer School (which I couldn't attend this year). It Was Good. We practiced ikkyo and other techniques from ryote-dori (two hand grip attack) in body art, and basic aiki-ken (with bokken or wooden swords) in weapons. Confession: I managed to very slightly ping! my right kneecap in body art, but I'm still fit for training tomorrow. W00t!

Found out that two students from our 'child' dojo, who were third and fourth kyu when I last trained with them some 3 years ago, both graded for shodan at Summer School. Hooray!
