purpletigronWhilst I deplore the unsustainability of motor sport and industry, I am moved and inspired by the achievements of Laleh Seddigh, Iran's auto-racing champion. She's currently working for a Ph.D. in industrial management and production.

Date: 2005-05-17 08:53 am (UTC)I'm sorry, I dont understand this statement. In fact I am rather annoyed by it. Sport, like art, is a luxury and I dont see how sustainability has anything to do with it.
Feel free to explain further in real life sometime.

Date: 2005-05-17 08:55 am (UTC)The role of motor sport in improving our useful knowledge of engineering, relative to the rate at which is uses resources, seems to have been deteriorating steadily for the past few decades. The rate of return on the resources used by motor sport seems to me to be unsustainable.
