Have you tried your friendsfriends view to see postings by Friends of your Friends?

Something to note in this: the postings you see in this view are the ones visible with your account's privileges, not the Friend's account.

For example, redbird is on my Friends list, and I am on yours,

purpletigron -Friend-> webbob -Friend-> redbird.

If redbird -Friend-> purpletigron

then purpletigron can view redbird's postings in the friendsfriends view

even if redbird -!Friend-> webbob, so that webbob can't read redbird's Friends Only entries.

Not a great example, since redbird -Friend-> webbob, but if you find yourself thinking, "I didn't know that X was on Y's Friends list!" frequently while viewing friendsfriends, come back to this comment.

LJ told me to log out and back in to get the faster servers. I think there's an option to add more userpics, too; I should check on that.

Yes, that's definitely one of the extra services, more userpics. If I had even one uploaded picture, I might know what the limit was.

I think that if anyone can think of good extra services for paid members, LJ management might be grateful for suggestions that wouldn't cost a lot to implement.
