ADSL scheduled to arrive on 1 July, am logged in from the Central Library (on a Sun running Netscape and StarOffice, which is waay kewl :-)

Kitchen is now under control - just need the wobbly tap fixing, a spice filing system* and a few more shelves for the cupboards so that everything can go into proper final places. Should be able to get this sorted this weekend, thanks to N.

Plumber due tomorrow to fix the wobbly taps, BT engineer to install the extra phone socket in the computer room in readiness for ADSL. Friday afternoon, having a break to pick strawberries and make jam and cordial with N. Friday night, G due home. Saturday, D due home and M coming to visit - we will no doubt blitz the garden :-) Tried to go to the allotment today to do much-needed weeding, but ended up with flat tyre... will try again early tomorrow morning (plumber not due until the late hour of 09:00 :-)

In town to job hunt... must now job-hunt...

House-warming will be scheduled ASAP once boxes subjugated. Thinking, mid-August?

* Our spice collection currently fills a whole cupboard plus a large drawer. Spices need to be kept in a dark, cool place, in appropriately sized jars (ideally, which empty every few months at your cooking speed, for freshness).
