I find the new LJ 'site skin', Xcolibur, even more annoying than the old one. So, Dystopia it is for me...

I think I do, too - after an initial shock when I thought that my browser hadn't loaded the style sheet properly.

I'm not sure about the navigation bar accessibility/usability (try going from "manage" on the upper row to "user pictures" on the lower one), but I see there's an option for a "Lynx-friendly" skin as well as keeping the old one.

Arghhh! I've just looked at the code for the page - javascript all over the shop. It's Evial, evial, I tell you....

But in spite of all that, I do rather like the look of it.

I also like it. Much more estful on the eye, much less garish, and for me much easier to get around. I never liked the menu down the left-hand side.

All of which goes to prove that by leaving us with choice, the LJ people have managed to please most of us at least some of the time.

The new look is indeed less cluttered, but the disappearance of the menu bar on the left of the screen is a horrible shock. So although I'm not particularly enamoured of Dystopia, I too have changed straight back.

ditto here, and judging from the number of comments to the post purpletigron linked in the main post, the change has certainly shaken a few cages.
