Two stressful days, and I'm tired but improving:
SK had a bad day yesterday, 24 hours after the chemo started: very groggy, having trouble adjusting eyes to different light levels, limping, no appetite. But SK only rose three times to leave little parcels in the litter tray, and slept heavily the rest of the time. I was very worried, but the V E T said, wait until torrrow morning, and then come in if you're still concerned...
At bedtime, SK was a lot more lively, eyes fine, limp easing, tail starting to look less floppy... and when I got up to check on SK just now, the tail was perky, SK was trotting around like normal, and the greatest sign of normality: SK purred loudly on seeing me, chased me to the fridge, and wolfed down food almost as fast as I could get it on to the plate! Yay!!!! :-)
So I get to go to aikido this morning, rather than having to rush to the emergency vet. I am so relieved, especially knowing how much sadder things have been for many people, their loved ones and their pets, recently...
Happy Thanksgiving!
