Oct. 13th, 2003 08:52 pmAim of chemotherapy for SK: remission, with undire rear and weight gain.
Status 72 hours after chemo commenced: undire rear; +100g weight (gone from stable at 3.8 kg, to recent record of 3.9 kg). That's a lot for a little cat in 3 days! Will take as a Good Sign...
Still no news from OU.
Plumber coming in on Wednesday morning! Thermostatic radiator valves rock for comfort and fuel efficiency, which means lower bills and less climate change :-)
Volunteering for Oxfam for 4 hours again tomorrow, this time talking to a group of 6 kids excluded from school about the lives of cocoa farmers, and self-empowerment. This is part of UK Local Democracy Week.
My uncle, aged c. 55, who was made redundant at the start of the year, has started a new job today :-)
Made good progress in aikido class yesterday, learning 20 basic movements with the Japanese 'quarterstaff' (jo). It all contributes to the aim of being able to defend oneself effectively whilst also protecting any assailant... the aikidoka avoids guilt and court, the attacker has the chance to live and learn...
