More productive
Oct. 26th, 2003 09:09 pmG & D made a lovely lunch, and N came over in the afternoon. We started sorting through seed catalogues for our autumn order. Also, N had picked a pound of rose hips, and we tried making syrup from them. Nice, and a good way to store vitamin C for the winter. But apparently there are varieties of roses with hips which are nice to eat straight from the bush, which is even better :-)

Date: 2003-10-27 12:50 am (UTC)A rose-hip consortium? Or, supplement with dried from the store - 1 kg fresh equivalent to 250 g dried....
Still, if I were visiting at the right time, it would be no bother to start a batch, and then let it sit quietly in a corner for months and months.
Crazy(well, the occasional racking to get the wine off the yeast sediment... but a household like yours surely can handle a little siphoning, eh?)Soph
