I saw my first two ladybirds in the back garden yesterday - any advice for how to attract more of them gratefully received. Which reminds me, I still haven't found my booklet on gardening for butterflies - must do more unpacking!
I'm going to try to slog the books today, having been too engrossed in the Oxfam Forum yesterday to sneakily read my textbook (so much for the 'boring bits' theory). I need to have a clear idea of the core science which is intended to be taught to eleven to sixteen year olds. If it's good for all the children to be taught these things, then presumably it would be good for all the adults to know them? And if not the adults, then why the children? Ah, well - in the meantime, I should busily aspire to being the kind of teacher whose alumni do understand all the science which they were taught in school...
