We're nervous, because G is about to take Boof! to the vet. Seen here with his dear departed Orange Brother, who was a Very Sick Kitty, but received the very best of care from the same vet for the last 6 months of the course of his fatal lymphatic cancer 3 years ago.

Boof! is going to come home tonight with a much improved mouth, kitty numph for the munching of. Yes.

Boof!

The Boof!er is just coming around from the anaesthetic. Apparently, the vet had to take out nearly half his remaining teeth, including a canine and a pre-molar, but the remainder look solid. G is going to pick up chicken and fish on the way to the vet to collect the poor little sod.

So - thank you again, everyone - you were right, this was very necessary, he's pulling through fine, and he should be a lot happier for it.

In other news, Mater continues to show new little signs of progress :-)

Not quite this relaxed yet

Boof! is safely home, and is supposed to be resting in a warm and quiet place. He's sitting on the windowsill in D's bedroom, looking out into the garden as the sun sets. We've got the heating on as it's been a little chilly today. G's just poaching and mashing some fish, to offer the Boof!er if his mouth isn't too sore. But he's not yet started washing the traces of blood out of his ruff, so I think he's pretty sore :-(

Meanwhile, Wong! is utterly confused and miserable because his Uncle Boof! smells all wrong. He keeps sneaking up to get a line-of-sight view of this boofy stranger, then panicking, hissing and running off to hide again :-( We will have to shut Wong! up for the night at this rate :-((
