Finally got around to making our Christmas cake - currently in the oven. I'm particularly pleased with the flourishes - freshly grated orange peel, blackstrap molasses, extra mixed spice - and I'm sure it will every bit as good as a real cake made by a real person! ;-)
Apparently, we lose our 'baby aptitude' for learning languages between the ages of c. 8 and c. 15. I wish someone had told me that, and helped me to become bilingual, before I dropped out of range.
