I've caught a low-level school lurgi, which makes keeping up with Life as well as Work even more difficult...

You are familiar with the usage for 'lurgi' = 'infectious disease', though, right?

I didn't know, but thanks for the explanation. When I did a search on "lurgi definition", nothing came up, so I guessed it was probably short for "allergy".

I'm apparently reasonably susceptible to virises due to my thyroid condition, too. And it's the wrong time of year to get vaccinated :-( But my Mum (who doesn't have thyroid disease, of course) works at a doctor's surgery (she's a trained dispenser) and has gone from getting everything, to being totally immune even when the patients are coughing all over her... so I must live in hope...
