W00t! for Mater!

Out-of-spoon error for me. Ho, hum.
Mater got the train into town, I met her and we had a quiet lunch at Hippy Central. She ate herself to a stand-still on chickpea mezze, interesting salad leaves, mint potato cakes and new seasons asparagus! We walked around the old industrial district and looked at architecture for a while. Then she picked up some shopping at the wholefoods shop, and with her anxieties rising, I put her on the train home.
She says she had a wonderful time, and rates herself 9/10 for achievement. Wow!
Then I did some LETS paperwork wrangling, picked up my own shopping at the wholefoods shop, realised I'd over-done it but still had to trudge to the train and then home. Splat.

Date: 2007-05-12 04:20 pm (UTC)We are trying to cook veggie one day a week at least and this is taxing our repertoire of veggie recipes to the limit of boredom. Mint potato cakes sound wonderful though. Maybe one day when you have some spoons to spare, you can point me in the direction of some good but dumbass simple recipes.

Date: 2007-05-13 04:53 am (UTC)I have found some great vegan cookbooks: "The Mediterranean Vegan Kitchen", and "Vegan with a Vengeance" are my favourites. I also find the nutritional reference books "Becoming Vegan" and "Plant Based Nutrition and Health" to be invaluable.
Hmm - sounds like I should start blogging my cooking!
