Well. There's a statement. I'm inclined to appreciate the forthright manner of the apology, and keep an eye on follow-through - if the results are consistently good, then good for them. Unfortunately, learning processes can be rough and embarrassing. What could be a brief glitch with a thousand users becomes a nightmare with 3 million, so hopefully they have learned the lesson: communication, communication, communication.
