I've just drafted my first invoice as a 'research consultant' for Well-known Conservation Charity. [FX: Gulp] I have everything I need to contact the tax office tomorrow (just to be on the safe side, and thanks to stevegreen for advice ;-)

Last Thursday, Mater made a sudden, dramatic and as-yet unexplained turn for the better. She has since consolidated her position, resumed her physiotherapy and was last night quizzing me on where her favourite clothes and jewellery are - she also demanded books! Specific books! She is a great fan of Patricia [D.] Cornwall, so any 'if you like that, try this' recommendations, gratefully received.

I'm going off to seek books in the Deja Dead series by Kathy Reichs.
