Didn't feel like getting up today, so I've been having the nearest thing to a lie-in that I can usually manage - dozily fussing with WK (who must be supervised or shut away until the litter tray is detoxed tomorrow), whilst G reads.
SK - or "Toxic Tiddles", as we might say - appears to be completely un-zonked this morning, unlike last Saturday. So it seems that it is the pill - taken once every three weeks - or the pill in combination with the injection - the latter, currently weekly - which caused the zombie-like grogginess last week. Phew! Said TT has just purred off to sleep on the computer room floor behind me - being 'with' is always more important than being comfortable for SK, although there is at least a tatty old carpet...
Aikido was great fun last night - we were studying choking attacks, where the opponent pins one arm down by your side and grabs hold of your clothes around your throat with their other arm. Lots of interesting ways to get out of that one, and my ukemi (falls) are improving all the time. Then we did half an hour with bokken (wooden curved sword), which was embarassing as we've done jo (Japanese quarterstaff) for the last few weapons classes, so my head was full of jo techinques and I'd forgotten all about the bokken techniques! I might go to weapons class tomorrow morning...
Hoping to go gardening with N today .... will now ring N to find out their plans!
