Le Weekend
Jul. 30th, 2007 11:29 amD took me to the region's best Farmers' Market on Saturday, and we bought as much fresh fruit and veg as we could carry! Particular successes include the Romanesco (fractal calabrese/cauliflower), late cherries and early Discovery apples. G & I had a lovely wander around the local 'arboretum' (sounds nicer than 'cemetary') in the afternoon.
On Sunday, a bunch of local Permaculture types finally met, at N's allotment. We spent nearly 3 hours in glorious sunshine, nattering, weeding, planting and plotting to take over the Universe. I even cycled there and back.
So, inevitably, such an investment of spoons leaves me exhausted today. I feel sleepy, achy, post-viral and even a bit over-whelmed. But if I can rest, and more importantly, relax, progress will be made.
