D didn't remember seeing the restored Wicker Man before, so we shared :-) Poor Mater had to hide, as it gives her nightmares... despite being an incurable TV murder mystery addict.
Much thunder and lightning in the night, getting as close as 1 km (3 second delay). On groggily rising out of sleep, D reports wondering why there were flash photographs being taken outside our second storey (ground + 2) window...
Dry by 07:10 when I woke, so I groggily puttered out and boofed the Flooger and dug up dock plants until breakfast time.
Mater made it back to the allotment for the first time today! It was a real struggle for her, but ... hooray! I lifted a dozen fine leeks (which are starting to bolt), and planted four Greater Knapweed (Centaurea scabiosa) plants. I also transplanted a clump of poached egg plant (Limnanthes douglasii) home - hopefully it will thrive and spread :-)
