Mater wot Rocks!
May. 14th, 2005 04:38 pmAwesome day!
Mater's coming on well with her new exercises, feeling her way to the optimum routine. My knees are also getting noticeably stronger every week.
Mater was able to go walking for 30 mins whilst I made the Rolls which Rock - until now, she's needed me along for support in case of cramps etc. Yay!
Later on, Mater suggested that we get my bike out of the shed for her to try sitting on. She's not been on a bike since January, and eleven years ago, it was falling off a bike three times which caused the original injury. She puttered up and down the garden this afternoon, and looked pretty good. We're not going to tempt fate by trying a road ride until after we've been on holiday, but ... squee!
We're just back now from visiting N at the allotment, to deliver the old lawnmower to the shed there. We need to be able to mow our grass paths and collect the mowings to mulch the beds. It's a very old, reasonably unwieldy Qualcast push mower, so I think it's untempting to thieves. Mater came with us - 20 mins in the car with 20 mins break. Great progress!
Mater's having a lay down now ... well earned, or what? :-)
