Sounds like sleep paralysis rather than Night Terrors which tend not to come with a plot. Horribly realistic those sensory hallucinations, although the Mad Max scenario sounds extra elaborate. Not v. restful though. Sympathies!
Mind you I think I would have pretty powerful nightmares if a kitty was sitting on my full bladder. Ow!
