The Boofer and the Pointy One are sharing the feathery fishing-line toy - and the Boofer was purring too :-)

If only we could persuade Pointy not to spend half his time yelling, "Wong!", I think we'd be sorted :-))

Time to get dressed and potter off to the local library, where a new "Friends of the Village Library" is being launched this morning. The aim is to get visiting speakers, persuade the village to make more use of the function room, have fund-raising events etc. All the usual suspects are involved (people I've met through Oxfam, Neighbourhood Forum, Townswomen's Guild etc.) ... what we call, "The Busybodies" or "The Linda Snells" :-)

Cat Heaven!!!!!

The Wong Factor rather drove us bats. I used to think H was noisy until L came into our lives, but we were assured that he wasn't always that noisy. He may calm down now he has a potential playmate.

Now you tell me ... you said he was 'loud', which is fine ... I didn't realise that he was also 'noisy' :-)))

Yeah, he's definitely showing signs of calming down and becoming less noisy - which is to say, yelling for less of the time (but just as loud :-)

Comfortable thoughts...

I love Linda Snell! She may be a busybody but she gets off her arse and does something when all around are bleating like sheep. Go 'the Snells!'

You Are Not Wrong! :-)

I am now Member #17 of the Friends of the Village Library, and it looks like they have about 8 people on the committee. Very exciting!

All Orientals are reasonably noisy, of course - they are bred from Siamese - but Pointy really wasn't that noisy as a kitten or while he was with us. I think much of it is calling for attention. If you keep going to way you have been, I think he may be a bit quieter.

Though never silent.

This is good progress. Hope this remains so for the weekend.

This is encouraging - I've got no problem with him being loud, but when he stays noisy at human bed-time, we're having to put him to bed in his own room for the night :-(

He's hissed three times today - once when he knocked D's riding crop over toward him, so it's basically whenever he gives himself a shock. Another example - he'd been jumping up on my computer desk ("Boing! Boing!") and didn't notice that Boofy had pottered over and sat on the windowsill right behind my computer monitor ... "Boing! Hiss!" :-(
