Can anyone explain to me, how does the time get set on LJ comments? The local time appears to be correctly set in my own journal entries, presumably from my system clock. But I just made a posting (19:45 local time, give or take), in reply to a posting that was made at 14:35 for that LJer's local time (I presume), and my comment was given the time of 11:45.

Huh?

You know, I've always wondered that, myself. You could ask a question in the support area and report back! :-)

I think the comments are being timestamped in the Pacific Time Zone (East Coast US time - 3), which is where the servers are located. (Seattle, if I got the clues right.)

GMT/BST - 8, yes, I wondered exactly the same.

Which isn't right :-) The default should be UTC, and the correct answer would be the commenters local time, surely?

OK, where does one lodge such comments?
