I hear that the Mayo Clinic has news on light box being studied as a therapy for depression http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/light-therapy/MY01086 and that they have a good set of pages about light therapy in general http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/light-therapy/MY00195

[Thanks to http://vgnwtch.livejournal.com/ for the tip.]

OK, so I'm feeling cr*ppy. And I feel the need to say that I'm a basically OK person in a somewhat f*cked-up world: it's not insane for me to be depressed.

As noted elsewhere, it's hard to find effective anti-pissedoff-ants.

It tears me up that bad things happen to good people, and I'm powerless to fix it: I can't fix Mater, I can't even find a certain lost cat.

I'm fed up to the back teeth of being too fatigued to cycle, let alone train in aikido. All my aikidoka friends reading, it would do me a power of good right now if we could train together - we'd all feel great after all that laughing at how crap my aikido is :-)

And I'm fed up of not being able to live in a functioning community.

But ... my dear Flooger has got his appetite back this morning, and it's going to be a sunny day... and it's breakfast time...:-)

Edit: Right, that's it. I'm coming out as an obsessive-compulsive manic-depressive: I just found out that our local dairy can deliver Organic milk in returnable, re-usable glass bottles. And it's given me a massive high. I rest my case...
