Thank you to everyone who has sent good wishes, including those who were able to join us this weekend to commemorate the anniversary of my mother's 24+ hours in labour and subjection to a Caesarian operation to bring me in to this world.

Steam + beer + chocolate-cherry American muffins = of teh good.

Also, I am not a great fan of "-ism", as in, 'dogmatic ideology of any flavour'. But -isms don't always mean dogmatic ideology in practice.
