On the cusp...
Oct. 8th, 2003 10:33 amI feel like I am waiting for everything at the moment...
and on top of it all...
My health: been feeling under the weather, off and on, since we moved. Despite a flu jab, and an increased thyroxine dose, I'm saggy again today. I have heaps of things that I'd like to do ... exercises, studying, sorting my study, gardening, cooking ... and hardly the energy or inclination to even get out of bed...
- The vet and oncologist (still no treatment plan for SK ... maybe I'm waiting for something sadder...)
- The Open University (still no more information about a host school or second interview)
- The builders (still no quote to repair our brickwork)
- The plumbers (still no quote to fit thermostatic radiator valves)
- The loft insulators (I need a quote to use Thermafleece not mineral insulation)
- All the people who are messing my mother about (when she is finally free of them, she will be staying here until she is ready to decide a new direction for her life)
and on top of it all...

Date: 2003-10-09 05:58 pm (UTC)Looking at that Thermafleece stuff, the first thing I wondered about was its fire resistance. Still curious, but yow, an ignition point of 560 C seems really good! I don't comprehend the "Spread of Fire" rating, though. "BS"? The whole humidity-response thing looks pretty nifty, too!
As for motivation problems: You and me both. I find just getting up some momentum is most of the battle. Knowing that, I sometimes get myself to go do some low-impact push-ups (against a railing; my arms are too wimpy to lift my torso off the floor). It's my latest "just get going at something" technique.
Hugs enqueued.
