Disenfranchised, but reasonably content...
May. 6th, 2005 06:30 amI'm reasonably happy with the election results, despite not being able to vote myself, and despite Labour retaining power. Of course, we still suffer with our First Past The Post system: Seats are currently 351:191:59 (with about 30 left to declare) where votes were approximately 223:203:139 which would be a heavily hung parliament.
The turnout is slightly up overall, at about 60% - but up by 5% in some key fights.
